See, told you I was ill!
For the past couple of years I've suffered from excruciating pain in my back. I've been variously diagnosed with a herniated disk, rheumatoid arthritus, a slipped disk, spondylitis and God knows what else... Well, finally, I have a proper diagnosis - I've got Fibromyalgia. Obviously, as a dedicated geek, the first thing I do is look it up online... It turns out that 90% of the sufferers are women...
Not only am I likely to be hobbling about like an old man for the rest of my life (I'm 29), but when people ask "What's the matter?", I have to tell them I have a ladies disease! My soon to be wife has been really supportive - a lot of the self help groups say that you need to make sure friends and family are patient with you... She had one look at that and skipped on to the next page ![]()
Not really sure if anyone will read this - it's a bit of a change from the usual sub-standard IT rubbish that I write (in that it's sub-standard mawkish rubbish), so I apologise if you were expecting something useful and found this instead.
Normal service will resume in the next post...
